The good news is though that if you want our delicious, award-winning lobster rolls, you don’t have to chase the LobsterCraft food truck and you can just come visit us at the LobsterCraft Kitchen at 1891 Post Road in Fairfield! And if you’re interested in booking the truck for your party or corporate event, please give us a call soon! A number of dates are already completely booked solid but we do have some time slots left open!

So here’s a few of the public events that the truck will be at in the back part of the month:

June 17 Public Match at the Greenwich Polo Club. Gates open at 1pm. LobsterCraft returns to the Greenwich Polo Club for another year. It’s always a great day on the polo grounds and there’s plenty to enjoy! Great news, we’ve dropped anchor at 1891 Post Road, Fairfield, CT across the road from Rawley’s Hot Dog stand and tucked in the back parking lot behind the travel agency and podiatrist. The entrance is around the side of the building so come on by and say hello to Captain Mike and the crew! We’ve got a small indoor space with a wall counter and awesome outside seating for when Mother Nature decides to warm us up again after the winter that never wanted to end! We’ve got all the great, award winning lobster rolls, lobster mac n’ cheese, lobster bisque, clam chowder, and fries. Throughout Spring and Summer, we’ll be featuring specials such as our take on the cold lobster roll, which we call the Dirty Maynard, a lobster salad, lobster tacos, and a cold shrimp roll. We’ll post up what we’re doing on Facebook and Instragram, so if you’re not following us, please do so! What’s great about the kitchen for our fans is that there’s now a place where LobsterCraft’s award winning food is available without having to chase the truck, especially since we really don’t street vend anymore. Also because we have a permanent location, we’ve partnered with GrubHub for delivery during the hours we’re open. Just use the Grubhub app or go to their website to place an order and their dedicated food delivery driver will bring your LobsterCraft food right to your home or office.

So as we head into Summer, have you booked your private party, corporate event or special event with us? Please do so quickly as the calendar is filling up.

Book the Truck: Answers to Frequently Asked Catering Questions

By | Food for thought | No Comments

LobsterCraft enjoys creating a memorable impact for your guests while making it as easy as possible for you.   See below for answers to our top catering questions.

Can’t find the answer to your question?  Please send us an email through our Contact Us page and we will get right back to you!

What is the difference between Drop Off and Full-Service Catering?

Drop Off means LobsterCraft will arrive at a specific time, prepare the rolls, drop them off and then walk away.  Rolls are placed on large serving trays, which can be used by your serving teams.  We also offer our Lobster Bisque and Lobster Mac and Cheese.

Full-Service Catering means LobsterCraft will give your guests the full food truck experience.  We prepare the rolls and sides on demand then serve them out of the truck so no additional servers are required.

Generally speaking, full service is required for more than 25 guests.

How are rolls served to my guests?

Depending on the type of catering service (see above), our rolls are typically handed out one-at-a-time in “boats” (inside open disposable containers) or they are placed together on large serving trays.  We can work with you to create a more personalized presentation (i.e., logos, labels, etc.).  Please ask about this when you book your reservation.

Which rolls are included?

LobsterCraft has an award-winning menu of innovative, hand-crafted lobster rolls.  We are happy to serve the entire LobsterCraft menu (all 5 rolls) or provide a smaller choice to guests.  Please ask us about our popular side dishes as well: LobsterCraft Mac and Cheese, Lobster Bisque, and more!

How much time will LobsterCraft need?

When you book the truck, please select the time you want to start feeding guests.  The booking tool will hold the correct amount of time based on the event type you request.  LobsterCraft typically needs 2.5—3 hours of serving time.  This includes set up, serve time and clean up.   Drop Off Catering requires only 30 minutes.

Is LobsterCraft available for my event?  If so, how do I book the truck?

Here are the step-by-step instructions to book LobsterCraft for your event:

  1. Visit http://www.lobstercraft.com/catering
  2. Select Book Now next to your desired service type (Full-Service or Drop Off)
  3. Select your preferred date and start time of the event
  4. Enter your contact information and any event details/special requests, then select Book Appointment
  5. LobsterCraft will review your information and will reach out to finalize event details and pricing

If the time you desire is not visible, please try another date or time.

How much does it cost to have LobsterCraft cater my next event?

Pricing is based largely on the number of guests, travel time from South Norwalk, and the menu items you wish to serve.  For reference, Drop Off catering generally starts at $675 and Full-Service starts at $1,800 plus tax and gratuity.  Please book the truck and we will work with you to finalize the price.

Is a Deposit Required?  Will it be refunded if I cancel my event?

Once your event details and costs are discussed, LobsterCraft will send a contract for review.  In order fully commit the truck for your event, a deposit payment and contract approval are required.

Deposit refunds are provided assuming you provide written notice at least one week prior to the event. Generally speaking, if a cancellation is requested less than one week prior to the event, a deposit cannot be refunded.

What happens if the weather isn’t good?

Don’t worry!  LobsterCraft is able to serve in all weather types–and we are mobile!  If you need to relocate the event to accommodate your guests, let’s discuss.
